I made a post last month about how slow-walking people were the most annoying thing in the world. I lied.
It's traffic.
I left my house at 1:30 pm, to drive back to school. It should have taken 3 1/2 hours; 4 if you drive slowly (which I don't). But no, I just got here. It is now almost 8:30. That's a good (or bad, I should say) 7 hours of driving.
It took me a full THREE HOURS LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE.

egads, i remember those days and my drive was 5 1/2 hours driving normal/fast so i feel your pain. traffic is serious full out torture.
My uni was in the city center, and it would take me about 15 minutes by tram to get there. However I was occasionally super lazy and I'd just take the car, even though deep down I was always aware of how horrible the traffic would be at that time of day, and how difficult it will be to find a parking place.
So there was this one time when I took the car, and I'd picked up a friend on my way and we went to classes together. Instead of 5-15 minutes, it took us a good hour to get through a particularly terrible traffic jam.
But the best thing was when my car sensors went off because my friend forgot to fasten the seat belt. (Yeah it's one of them smart cars.)
And she was like, why did it go off just now, we've been driving for almost an hour?
Because I've been driving it on the clutch for the entire hour, I said. We've been going so slow I didn't even have to put in gear. We might as well push it.
Awful, just awful. You could actually feel yourself rotting there.
Ugh Sarah, I can't even imagine. I'm usually a pretty patient person but traffic really brings out the rage in me >:(
